Dr. Amy Hudson is from Black Tickle on the Island of Ponds, off the southeastern coast of Labrador, NL, and comes from Inuit and European roots. She holds a BA and MA in Sociology and a PhD in Interdisciplinary Studies, and brings over 20 years of experience in the non-profit and community development sector.
Amy is passionate about community-based research, governance, education, and capacity development. Her work includes published research articles, book chapters, and a co-edited book, and she continues to learn through travel and community connection. She remains deeply rooted in her community, where she enjoys kayaking, snowshoeing, snowmobiling and boating around the Island of Ponds.
Guided by governance practices that celebrate our unique strengths and aim to improve quality of life, Husky focuses on building trust, creating a positive impact, acting professionally, and showing respect.
